Singapore Chinatown

I'm fairly certain that this same exact subject appears in a folio by that German photographer or someone else with the same schtick: big architecture dwarfing little people. All scenes have been photographed, all vistas have been captured. Destroy the world for posterity.

thrilled and pleased to see such updates. Is your face better? Your faculties intact? Singapore always seems like the city of the future- does it feel that way? Did you go to the man spa? Here, mostly the same, the coldest winter ever -so clear and cold, little fog all the buildings would gleam during the day. I'm learning spanish on saturdays. What are the people like? love do

Yes, this is the city of the future. On all cartons of cigarettes, there's a 1x2" photo of some grotesque smoking-related illness/deformity: deformed fetus, blackened lungs, it's pornographic. The people are very nice, like the muslim lady at the halal restaurant who told me napkins are called serviettes here. It's very hot and humid here, I have perpetual beads of sweat coming down my face. My lip is still a little bit swollen and it makes me talk funny and the scabs on my cheekbone already peeled off without too much coaxing.

it's so cold here the air is white and even the rainfall doesn't warm it up. this weekend there was an antique book fair. I went with begrudgingly, but as soon as I got there, I remembered how much I love books, even the way they smell. They had a first edition sherlock holmes for $28K, a tiny hynmnal you had to use a magnifying glass to read, a wall sized Koran,a book from the 15thC with pages made of sheep's guts. Books rule.
